Tyler Sabin Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Tyler Sabin is helping to build a 100 mile per gallon car as Exterior Lead and Budgeting Officer of Western Washington University's X Prize Team

RENTON, WA, August 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tyler Sabin, Research Assistant for the Vehicle Research Institute, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.

Tyler Sabin has three years of overall professional experience. As a research assistant for the Vehicle Research Institute, he excels in composite part design and is responsible for managing the composite body of the car; developing paint schemes, molds, composites, assembly and rollover safety, monitoring lighting, recruiting and training team members, coordinating work crews, recruiting sponsors, marketing, and representing the team at events. He expects to receive his Bachelor of Science in Composite Engineering from Bellevue College, from which he received his Associate of Arts, in 2011. While studying for his Associates degree, he placed third on the All-Washington Academic Team and was listed on the National Dean's List.

Mr. Sabin was chapter President of Phi Theta Kappa in 2006-2007 and remains a member of the organization's Alumni Association. He is the Exterior Lead and Budgeting Officer for Western Washington University's X Prize Team, which will be racing for a $10 million dollar prize. He attributes his success to his hard work, excellent professors, and once-in-a-lifetime hands-on experiences at Western Washington University's Vehicle Research Institute, which shares his passion for building alternative energy cars. He names Salt on the Street Ministries as his favorite cause.
