Successful Settlements Negotiated for Two Ohio Families
$1,090,000 for a young girl who lost her eye; $500,000 for a mother and daughter after a car accident.

LEBANON, OH, December 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rittgers & Rittgers recently negotiated two large settlements for local families. Rittgers & Rittgers prepares every case for trial; however, some cases are resolved prior to trial.

In the first case, a young girl lost eye after she was struck with a toy helicopter blade. The toy helicopter that took her sight had been banned in the United States because it was a dangerous product before the retailer sold it to the girl's family. The home owner's insurance policy and retail owners settled the case for a total of $1,090,000. The money will help pay for expensive medical treatments our client has been forced to endure and will continue to need throughout her life.

In the second case, a mother and daughter were injured after a car crash that was no fault of their own. The daughter suffered two broken femurs and the mother suffered herniated discs and a broken wrist. The at-fault driver's insurance policy was $200,000 for each person injured in the crash. Our clients had a $500,000 uninsured/underinsured policy. The case settled for the maximum recovery under both policies - $500,000.
